Emergency Order 2020-09 - Alcohol Sales

The attached is Executive Order 2020-09 from Halsey Beshears, Secretary of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations (DBPR).

To summarize the order;

  • Bars (businesses that derive more than 50% of gross revenue from sale of alcoholic beverages) shall suspend such sales of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises.

ExamplePoor Walt’s cannot serve alcohol inside the bar, but they can sell sealed alcoholic beverages from the package store portion of the business. The patrons cannot consume the purchase inside the building or on the property.

  • Restaurants may continue to operate alcoholic beverage sales at tables.

ExampleBeachfront Grille can serve alcoholic beverages to patrons at dining tables.
