Commissioner Jane Mealy was elected into office in March of 2006. Formerly, from Central Islip, New York, she was an educator for 36 years. She has been a resident of Flagler Beach for approximately 10 years. Her interest in city government includes:
  • Economic development
  • Implementation of the Charrette / Master Plan
  • Improving the city while maintaining small town old Florida atmosphere
  • Overall doing what's right for the majority of residents, not individuals or special interest groups
