Mayor Baker has been a resident of Flagler Beach since 1978 and has been Mayor since 2006. She worked for the City of Flagler Beach from 1979 to 1996 and returned for special assignments several times since she "retired." Mayor Baker is actively involved with the Flagler Beach Women's Club; Flagler League of Cities and the Flagler Beach Historical Museum.

Commissioner Kim Carney was elected into office March 2011. Commissioner Carney and her husband Jim along with son, Ryan, moved to Flagler Beach from Delaware in 2000. They searched all along the east coast of Florida and fell in love with Flagler Beach. Kim is currently employed as the Facility Manager of Eagles Nest Self Storage in Flagler Beach. Kim has worked as a Clinical Laboratory Manager utilizing her Bachelor of Science degree. She managed a laboratory for Kaiser Permanente in Maryland before moving to Delaware to manage a Clinical Laboratory in the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE. After obtaining her MBA, she worked in Marketing and Sales for Corning Medical and traveled extensively through the northeast. Commissioner Carney worked part time as adjunct faculty at Delaware Technical Community College while in Delaware. She attended classes at the community college and obtained an Associate's Degree in Accounting. After moving to Flagler Beach, she managed financial reports and annual sales and expense budgets for MacDuff Underwriters, a subsidiary of Brown & Brown Insurance in Daytona Beach. Her interest in city government includes: economic development, tourism, beach erosion and a balanced budget. She believes in citizenry playing a major role in how our government performs.
Commissioner Carney is actively involved in the Rotary Club of Flagler Beach as a Board Member and was awarded Rotarian of the Year in 2010. She is an active member of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce and Affiliates and serves on the Membership and Special Events Committees. She is involved with the Flagler Beach Historical Museum in fundraising. She serves on the Board of Directors for Flagler Business Women.

Commissioner John Feind was elected into office in March of 2003. He has been a homeowner in Flagler Beach for over twenty years. His interest in your City's government includes: fiscal responsibility, continued city control of the fire department, police department and lifeguard services; shoreline stabilization; downtown redevelopment; protection of Flagler Beach's unique character and the citizens' right to speak on all agenda items.
Commissioner Feind is involved in the following organizations: parishioner of Santa Maria del Mar; A1A Ocean Shore Scenic Highway and National Scenic Highway and National Scenic Byway Committee Member; former Flagler Beach Code Board member; former member of the Redevelopment Committee; Parks and Recreation Committee; Flagler Beach Historical Museum member, citizen supporter member of Gamble Rogers State Park. He is a generous contributor to Flagler Beach's organizations: Fire Department, Historical Museum, Movies in the Park; Flagler Volunteer Services Rotary Club, the Easter Egg Hunt; Holiday at the Beach; the 4th of July Celebration, Chamber of Commerce and Gamble Rogers State Park.

Commissioner Jane Mealy was elected into office in March of 2006. Formerly, from Central Islip, New York, she was an educator for 36 years. She has been a resident of Flagler Beach for approximately 10 years. Her interest in city government includes: economic development; implementation of the Charrette /Master Plan; improving the City while maintaining small town Old Florida atmosphere and overall doing what's right for the majority of residents, not individuals or special interest groups.
Commissioner Mealy is actively involved in the following organizations: Flagler Woman's Club - Treasurer; University Women of Flagler - President; League of Women Voters; Sierra Club of Volusia/Flagler; Flagler Beach Historical Museum - City Liaison; Flagler County Historical Society; Flagler County Symphonic Society; Flagler Beach and Flagler County Chambers of Commerce; City Representative to Enterprise Flagler; Flagler County and Florida League of Cities (Home Rule Administration Council).

Commissioner Steve Settle was elected March of 2010. The Settles moved from Alexandria, Virginia to Flagler Beach in 2003 but had been visitors to the City since 1998. Commissioner Settle was employed as Minority (R) Counsel to Committee on Labor and Human Resources for the United States Senate. He served as a counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and Workforce primarily counseling Congress on OSHA issues.
He was Presidentially appointed by President Reagan to U.S. Department of Labor, where duties included service as liaison to the Congress for the Veteran's Employment and Training Administration. He again served as a Presidential appointee for President George Herbert Walker Bush and as Legal Counsel and Special Advisor to Chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
Commissioner Settle is certified by Florida's Attorney General as a Victim's of Crime Advocate. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Maryland and received his law degree from George Mason University. He is a licensed to practice law in the States of Virginia and Florida. Commissioner Settle is married to Kate, father of Hampton and Lauren Settle and Sandra Biggs.

Commissioner Marshall D. Shupe and his wife, Marlene, have been part-time residents of Florida since 1993, full time residents since 2004, and moved to Flagler Beach in early 2007. He has attended city meetings and began to take part in the City since that time. After being elected in 2011, Marshall is proudly serving his first term. His primary goal as a City Commissioner is to represent the citizens of Flagler Beach with respect, openness, fairness, efficiency, and honesty.
Marshall has volunteered in community events such as the Ginn Golf Tournament, the Jerry Lewis MDA Fund Drive, and takes an active role in discussions related to beach restoration, seawater desalination, and economic development. He is an active volunteer in our City's Fire Department, a Florida certified Level 1 wildland firefighter, a fire safety inspector and plans examiner, and a maintenance helper at the Flagler Woman's Club.
After receiving his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Industrial Arts Education from New York State University at Oswego, he began teaching in Central NY until he retired in 1998. Marshall served as a Dean of Students, an interim Vice-Principal, as well as a classroom teacher for 33 years. During that time, he was a member of a community redevelopment committee, a member of a zoning board of appeals, a volunteer fire department officer/chief, a county fire investigator, as well as other community organizations.
His three adult children, Kimberly, Christopher and Jarrod and grandchildren live in Florida, Georgia and New York.
