City Parks

Veterans Park

Rendering by Sodi Griffin

Veterans Park is located in front of the Flagler Beach City Hall.   Although there are no major structures, there are several park benches, shuffle board courts, nighttime lighting and a beautiful ocean view.  Being in the geographical center of the city, it is utilized for many city special events.

Wickline Park

Wickline Park is bordered on the east side by South Daytona Avenue between South 7th Street and South 9th Street.   On the north-east side of the park lies the entrance to a boardwalk which meanders through the wetlands and continues to The Flagship Harbor boat launch on the Intercostal Waterway.

.Amenities include two tennis courts, a basketball court, a beach volleyball court, two pavilions, and a fenced in children's playground. On the north-east side of the park lies the entrance to a boardwalk which meanders through the wetlands and continues to The Flagship Harbor boat launch on the Intercostal Waterway.

Silver Lake Park

The City of Flagler Beach purchased 46 acres of sensitive wetlands lying east of the Intracoastal Waterway and bordering North Daytona Avenue and North 17th Street in order to ensure that the future of these pristine lands was not compromised by future development. The Park offers a jogging and exercise trail complete with exercise stations and equipment along the way. The trail is a mulch trail that winds through the native vegetation already existent on the northern portion of the park. There is also a bike and pedestrian trail that winds through the southern portion of the park with benches along side of it for a restful stop to view nature and relax. This path is made of shell.

In addition to the paths, there is a small playground which also has environmentally friendly mulch as a base instead of other conventional wood bark or concrete. This mulch is also safe for children and the waterways as it is not toxic. There is a covered pavilion with picnic tables available for those who wish to spend a family day together and it is conveniently located next to the canoe launch and the wooden fishing/lookout pier that extends into the canals. There are benches along the pier where one can sit and view the canals and marshes along the Intracoastal Waterway and its connectors. Many animals and birds have been spotted as they naturally go about their daily activities.

Wadsworth Park

The entrance to this beautiful 45 acre Flagler County Park is located at the western foot of the Flagler Beach Bridge. Wadsworth Park stays busy both day and night with its lighted soccer fields, racquetball, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, two playground areas, a picnic pavilion, an elevated boardwalk, and a canoe launch site.  Also included is a 60,000 square foot fenced Dog Park where dogs can run unleashed and mingle with other canines.

Wadsworth Park has something for just about everyone including a fenced Skate Board Park. The Skate Park is open from dawn to 10:00p.m.  All skaters must register at Flagler Beach City Hall before using the facility and proper protective gear including a helmet must be worn at all times.
