Water Base Charge - $9.14 plus consumption (as described below)
10% Utility service tax on water base - $0.91
Sewer Base Charge - $7.60 plus consumption
(at $5.53 per 1,000 gallons of water consumption)
Garbage Charge - $14.57 per month
Storm water Utility Fee - $4.00

YOUR MONTHLY UTILITY BILL
All meters
are read at regular monthly intervals and bills are based on
actual readings. Monthly bills are prepared and calculated once
per month and mailed out on the last business day of the month.
If a bill is
not paid by the due date, the account shall be considered past
due and a penalty of 10% shall be imposed. If the bill together
with the penalty is not paid in full by the next billing date
the balance due shall accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% and the
amount in arrears and the new charges will appear on the
subsequent bill. The total amount of charges and penalties shown
on such bill with an amount in arrears must be paid by due date
or service will be subject to immediate disconnection.
The service
shall not be resumed until all charges and penalties are paid
together with a turn-on charge.

How to test for leaks in your home:
Turn off all
water using appliances and fixtures inside and outside your home
-
turn off all water using
appliances and fixtures inside and outside your home.

locate your water meter at the
front of your property. (usually in plastic meter box)
-
write down the numbers showing
beneath glass cover
-
wait 20 minutes without using
any water
-
check the meter again.
If the numbers have changed from the previous reading, you
have a leak.

The Garbage Pickup schedule does not change on holidays.
Helpful Hints

Place your garbage and trash out
for pick-up by 7:00 a.m. on your pick-up day

Place your garbage or trash within
six feet of the road-way

Place your garbage in containers
that do not exceed 30 gallons in capacity or in plastic bags.
Tie the plastic bags securely.

Yard Trash Pick-Up

Please Remember
-
When placing your yard trash out for pick-up, place palm fronds
or branches in bundles that are not larger than one man can
pick-up or, place palm fronds in piles with the stems facing one
direction towards the roadway.

DO NOT mix palm fronds with
other trash
-
Place grass clippings or palm
"boots" in bags, boxes or other containers that are not larger
than one man can handle. But do not tie bags closed.
Watering your Lawn
Landscape irrigation
at odd numbered addresses must only occur on WEDNESDAY and SATURDAY
and must not occur between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Landscape irrigation
at even numbered addresses or no address must only occur on THURSDAY
and SUNDAY and must not occur between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Irrigation using a
hand-held hose equipped with an automatic shut-off nozzle is allowed
anytime.
Pick-up of Appliances and other Large Household Item
-
Large furniture should be broken down into pieces that can be
handled by one man.
-
Refrigerators, freezers and other items dangerous to children
must have their doors removed.
Hazardous Waste
Residents can dispose of household hazardous materials at the Flagler County
Landfill on Old Kings Road. Hazardous Waste items includes motor oil,
antifreeze, paint batteries, pool chemicals, fluorescent light bulbs and
gasoline.
City Ordinance 86-19 prohibits Sanitation crews from picking up any trash
defined as the following: Earth, trees, construction materials or debris,
roofing material, plaster, concrete or other substance that may accumulate as a
result of repairs to land or buildings or as a result of clearing lots or as a
result of building operations or as a result of tree removal.
