For information regarding the land development code, please refer to the City of Flagler Beach Land Development Code (LDC) update website. This website was designed specifically to provide assistance during the revision process. Please utilize this site to stay up-to-date with the project’s progress and to provide the much needed feedback necessary to complete this update process.
As of Tuesday, January 8, 2019 the City of Flagler Beach Building Department and Planning Department will be at a new location, 800 S. Daytona Avenue Flagler Beach, FL (The Wickline Building).
The Building Department at 800 S. Daytona Ave. will now be the only stop to apply and pay for the following items:
- Building Permits
- Local Business Tax Receipts (LBTR's)
- Yearly LBTR Refuse Charges
- Fire Inspection Fees
- Short Term Rental Permits
- Dog Friendly Dining Permits
- Wayfinding Signs
All telephone extensions for Building and Planning Department employees will remain the same.

The Planning & Architectural Reviews Division regulates the orderly expansion of the City through long-range planning activities as well as studying the established uses to ensure their continued benefit. This Division analyzes requests to ensure compliance with the Comprehensive Plan and makes recommendations on development proposals and changes of zoning that affect the general welfare of the City of Flagler Beach.
The Building Plan Reviews & Inspections Division performs plan reviews, issues building permits, and performs building inspections.
The Code Enforcement Division exists to protect public health, safety and welfare, by enforcement and education of City Codes, Land Development Regulations, and various Statutes. The Division strives to achieve voluntary compliance while establishing a working partnership with the residents and businesses of Flagler Beach and other government agencies.
Per the Code of Ordinances, a business within the City is required to obtain a Business Tax Receipt prior to opening.
