️ COVID-19 Scam Alert

Scammers are hard at working coming up with new ways to take your money! Please be aware and alert for various active scams.

1. Don’t respond to texts, e-mails or calls about checks from the government.
2. Ignore offers for vaccinations and home test kits. Scammers are selling products to treat or prevent COVID-19 without proof that they work.
3. Be wary of ads for test kits. Most test kits being advertised have not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and aren’t necessarily accurate.
4. Hang up on robo-calls. Scammers are using illegal robo-calls to pitch everything from low-priced health insurance to work-at-home schemes.
5. Watch for e-mails claiming to be from the CDC or World Health Organization (WHO) Use sites like and to get the latest information. Please don’t click on links from sources you don’t know.
6. Do your homework when it comes to donations. Never donate in cash, by gift card, or by wiring money.
