Posted on: December 6, 2018[ARCHIVED] Rebuild Florida Housing Repair and Replacement Program
Rebuild Florida is an assistance program to help repair, rebuild or replace homes damaged by Hurricane Irma.
We are committed to helping Floridians recover from Hurricane Irma’s devastating impacts – especially those residents of our hardest hit communities, and your county was identified as one of the most impacted and distressed areas eligible to register for assistance.
In order to be eligible for the Rebuild Florida Housing Repair and Replacement Program homes must have suffered damage as a result of Hurricane Irma. Priority will be given to the most vulnerable populations:
• Households with seniors age 62+
• Households with children age 5 or younger
• Households with special needs or special accommodation requirements (including disability)
• Households with persons displaced from Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands who are permanently resettling in Florida
To register for this program, Florida residents can visit RebuildFlorida.gov or call (844) 833-1010. There are Rebuild Florida centers in the most impacted counties in order to assist homeowners with the registration process.
There are also three Rebuild Florida buses, visiting the most impacted counties and ZIP codes equipped with a team of specialists who will answer questions and register homeowners.
Registration ends on December 23rd.
